How to add a website icon - favicon to a webpage

First of all what is a favicon ?

So, favicon is nothing but the icon of a website.

The dimension of a favicon is 16X16 pixels, which is pretty small and thus it would be a challenge to put a complicated design in such a small area.

Here are the steps to create a favicon -

1. Create your design in a squarish area. Why squarish? because your Favicon will have most of the times a squarish appearance. The size the square can be of your choice.

2. Google Favicon generator

3. I selected the top one

4. Upload the image your have created for your favicon

5. Download the image

6. Copy the code from the box. It would be something like this -

7. Upload the downloaded image on the directory of the website

8. Paste the code in Head tag of all the pages of your website

And Voila your are done.
